We are committed to providing Short & Long- Term housing to residential guests who are in need through our shared living/second chance housing and personal development assistance program.
Our communal living atmosphere is of the highest caliber due to our commitment to providing an affordable, safe, respectable, and caring living environment. Our private room and/or dormitory-style rooms are fully furnished, and our resident guests share the common areas.
Populations served include but are not limited to residents of West Virginia and the surrounding area who are currently working, receiving Social Security (SSI), Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), or other funding for housing (outside of Section 8 or other programs that do not allow shared housing).
We are currently offering housing to those that meet the Phase 1 requirements. Phase 1 includes self-sufficient resident guests that are: working, unemployed, aged-out foster care, single parents (with no more than two small kids under age 6), pregnant women, individuals with minimal health or impairments, non-disabled veterans, returning citizens etc., who require no day-to-day assistance.
Hyman House partners with local/state government and non-profit entities as well as licensed professionals to provide the support and care management our resident guest needs. If you are a West Virginia resident that is not currently affiliated with one of these entities and need assistance, we can help you get in contact with a case manager and/or social worker in the area.
See the Our Care tab for a list of services outsources to 3rd party organization and what’s included in our flat monthly fee.
See “Future Demographics to Serve” for populations we are eager to house in the future.
